Why This Exists

Look… I’m not a teacher. I’m a notary signing agent
who got tired of faking confidence and pretending
I understood documents I definitely didn’t.

After three years of doing this, I still couldn’t
keep the loan docs straight. My brain isn’t “normal”.
I’m not a bullet-point learner. I don’t memorize dry definitions. I don’t retain robotic explanations. I think in visuals, in stories, and—usually—in ridiculous metaphors that somehow make perfect sense in my head.

A normal person might peek inside my brain, gasp, and weld the lid shut.

It started as a survival mechanism and
I realized if it helped me, there was others
out there that it’d help too. That chaotic,
weird little mind finally built something useful.

This was only to teach myself. I was desperate to remember what each doc was, how to present it like a human, and how to get through a signing without blacking out or sounding like a malfunctioning AI.

So I started giving the docs nicknames. Personalities. I made them characters in a story I could remember. And wouldn’t you know it… suddenly it all clicked.

And better yet when I took it to the signing table my signers relaxed. They LAUGHED! They understood.
And we all got out of there
a little less fried.

Out of desperation came hope. Out of hope,
the Loan Signing Laugh Academy was born.

Come in, relax, and I’ll tell you a story…
